Abanti (Abby) Bhattacharyya, Esq., received her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law with an Intellectual Property Concentration
Abby has over twenty-five years' experience in the technology transfer arena, and focuses primarily on all patent-related concerns, including patentability and infringement searches and opinions; patent drafting; and all stages of both domestic and foreign prosecution. Additionally, she assists clients with public and private sector research, development and licensing agreements; trademark and copyright registration practice; dispute resolutions; internet law; and corporate compliance documents and programs.
Abby is licensed to practice before the Maryland Court of Appeals, and as a Registered Patent Attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where she was previously employed as an Examiner. Additionally, she is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association's Intellectual Property Section, and a Board member of the Howard County Women's Bar Association.
